now i know the 165 has a blanking plug on the back off the inlet chamber,but does the 185 have one.the reason i ask is that when i rig my evc up i need a vac feed for it

Yes the ST185 has this port on the back of the inlet manifold.

I used it for my AVC-r boost feed on my old ST185. :)

Its relatively easy to find, although fitting a hose and clip onto it can be awkward.
