Assuming you've still got stock internals but NO WATER INJECTION or FMIC then I wouldn't push it much over 1bar (14psi). With WI or FMIC then 1.2bar is OK. I've taken my ST205 up to 1.5bar on a few occasions and it feels mega fast but run 1.2bar everyday with WI fitted and set to activate at 0.7bar with a 0.5mm jet.

what don said tbh. 1 bar on a CS is a fairly safe maximum. its worthwhile to fit a PCV catch can from a 205 (or a generic one off ebay) to filter the oil vapour out of the intake system which will ensure your IC is working at its most efficient.

if the IC core is coated in a film of oil it wont cool the air quite as much as it should. as you have a CS afaik it has fuel maps up to 17psi so youre quite safe on that front. keep on top of cooling the air charge and you should have no problems at all.

my car's peak hold is a 1.07bar on the hks evc 5 and my intake temperatures are rarely more than 48c (120f).

keep it cool, keep it safe ;)

Lee,

Andy has a 165.

I would recomend taking your charge cooler off at some point and giving it a good wash out with petrol (empty out your coolant, cover all the holes pour in some petrol - not too much ;) and give it a good hard shake empty and repeat as required, before refitting and topping up with coolant) you may be surprised at what comes out

You may also find the car 'feels' faster once you have done this. 8)

Might be an idea to do this when you are changing your plugs as you have to undo the charge cooler to get to the plugs anyway???

i have a standard 205 catchcan. cost me 25 quid from gaz morton when he wrote his ST205 off.
after several months i whipped off the CC and checked the insides. bone dry :)

there was a little oil pooled in the catchcan, maybe 5ml or so :)
