I'm looking forward to seeing it in action.
I'm using your old TRD wing Chris which I fixed up with epoxy. Its only very slightly heavier than the carbon version I have :)

Hi Sunny, the exhaust is a 3" stainless system custom built by BTB Exhausts. Have a look at their web site to see the type of work they do http://www.btbexhausts.co.uk/

Big milestone last weekend was getting the Four rolling on its wheels for the first time since November 2007. Next one will be moving under its own power!

Front splitter detail. You can see the Jabroc wear plank under the RTP splitter.

Interesting to see the new windscreen is made in China. Quality seems better than the last one I got which was made in Japan but had a faint pinky-blue 'bloom' to it visible under certain lighting conditions.

Hi Don is that wear plank 1/4" ply and is it just for the leading edge of the splitter or does it stretch back to rear subframe area ?

Its a 6mm high compression resin impregnated composite Jabroc B240 Sheet 2250 x 620 x 6.0 mm +/-0.25 mm (sanded) so close to 1/4". They normally recommend 5mm for splitters but were out of stock so I went for the 6mm as that was pretty close.

I decided to keep as much depth as possible after cutting the radius to follow the lower profile of the RTP/C-One style bumper with a 50mm overhang. To keep things simple I have not trimmed the trailing edge of the plank to exactly match the undertray venturis. This may slightly compromise the undertray aero but given that I dont have a rear diffuser and there is a whopping big prop shaft and other gubbins under the car I don't think this will make too much difference.

Nice to see the inane ramblings of a blithering idiot put into practise by someone with talent

My track toy finally emerged from her snowy lair last week en-route to temporary storage before heading for the wiring installation. As will be obvious there are still a few panels to paint. Side skirts have been painted but not fitted as the wings need to be painted first then the skirts go over the top. If you look carefully you can see the Aerocatch 3 shear and tension catch which helps secure the front bumper/splitter assembly. I'm very pleased with the way the splitter/undertray fits to the RTP front bumper moulding. The stays brace from the splitter direct to the bumper mounts located on the front of each chassis leg so the whole assembly should be able to cope with the aero loads and a certain amount of shock loading if I ground the splitter on a high kerb. This combined with the low drag TRD rear wing and TTE mirrors should make it slip through the air quite well. I may eventually fit a flat floor and rear diffuser but its not really a priority at the moment. The main aim is to get the mechanical components bedded in and optimised then look at other stuff.

A start has been made on installing the new loom using aircraft spec cable, industry standard Bosch temperature and pressure senders wherever possible for ease of calibration and replacement. Not much to see at this stage but I'll keep posting as things move on.

Standard 3S-GTE Gen 3 cam trigger sensor which lives below the dizzy plate.

Front transaxle Bosch temperature sensor, originally installed by Owen Developments in 2007.
