Looks brilliant.

Hopefully it's a bit like an airfix kit now. :)

More progress, rear brakes and handbrake cable runs plus installation of the Lifeline Zero 360 extinguisher system. The extinguisher kit comes with all the plumbing and nozzles to cover the fuel tank, engine bay and driver. Designed to buy enough time to get out before the whole thing goes kaboom. Hopefully I will never have to put this to the test :o

Probably makes more sense to point nozzles at engine, fuel tank and ECU

Save the high $$ items

Well I hear Schumi "will drive for food"

Replacing the car will cost more than a family bucket of KFC :!:

Are you confusing Schumi with Kimi (don's cat!) ?

ST185 strut and wishbone mock up. This is to work out how to convert the SuperStrut to a McPherson strut front suspension

I know this was a long time ago, things might have changed and i might be a bit late with this, but i have been doing a bit of research into the mcpherson conversion and i am 99.9999999999% certain that the ST202 wishbone will bolt straight onto the ST205 subframe with little or no modification. and using the ST202 front hubs it should be pretty straight forward.

What you say may well be true but if it were me I'd want to test the theory by offering up a non-SuperStrut ST202 front suspension and hub to see if will fit the ST205 suspension pick-up points and drive shafts. In my build I am using ST185 McPherson strut front hubs and custom fabricated tubular lower wishbones because we could guarantee everything would fit and the camber and castor would be OK. For example we found we had to modify the lower 'kingpin' ball joint to obtain enough clearance on full lock.

It does fit.....the pick up points are the same, essentially you have the choice of macpherson + 202 rack and subframe or macpherson + 205 rack and subframe....

We went for the former but that was because we reckoned the 202 steering arms had more threads for toe adjustments.

basically it's just the racks that aren't interchangeable so the it's only the rack mounting brackets that make a 202 subframe different from a 205 subframe.
