Spent a couple of hours last night on my W/I "tank" install

However, confession time, I forgot to take any pictures :(
I will attempt to rectify this at lunchtime

Anyhoo, what I now have :-

I have a 2l flexible water bag (it's actually a CamelBack). This is now living behind the rear trim panel on the passenger side roughly alongside the speaker.

Now the ingenious part
Being a flexi tank I do not expect this to have any airlock issues at all - the bag will contract as water is removed and **should** never have large quantities of air in it
However, I have also taken the precaution of fitting a gravity fed swirl pot inline just to be safe.....

This is actually made from the overflow bottle from the C/Cooler which has been slightly modified
First off I drilled a hole into the bottom side of it (side next to the smaller diameter pipe) so that I could screw in the water tank takeoff fitting supplied with the aquamist kit. This feed is used for the real takeoff to the pump

Next the flexi tank is connected to the small outlet from the bottom of the tank.
Finally an open pipe is connected to the top tank takeoff (larger bore)
So, gravity sends water from the flexi tank into the little swirlpot thing. The open vent pipe on the top allows any air to escape and is also currently providing the fill point for the system - this needs a little work, along with a sight gauge so I can see water levels.....

The only way I can possible see air getting in to the system is when the car is on it's roof. At this point an airlocked W/I system is not likely to be top of the worry list :D

Hmm...good write up Steve. Sounds like a 'foolproof' system BUT if I were in your shoes I'd also want a DDS2 to show that water is actually flowing from the pump to the injector.

I'm sure mine has saved me from boosting 'dry' on several occasions and thereby risking det on track.

Kerplink :!:

NB. The swirl pot is normall cable tied to the speaker support bracket!
Mr T even supplied clips for the large breather pipe which now comes out in the strut brace opening!

   .... sorry I've underestimated you again :) You got your Blitz SBC i-Colour installed yet

Is your WI bladder big enough? I'd probably empty that in a good session at Goodwood where you're on the boost almost continuously. I suppose regular pit stops would be in order.

I think it will be OK. Holds 2 litres when brimming so probably enough for 10 laps - about my limit anyway!

I shall be considering another tank either in there or on t'other side with a balance pipe

Still waiting on the Blitz. Starting to get worried now :(
