toyota ECU plug part #'s for custom harnesses

female receptacle is amp/tyco part # 174518-7

the male plugs are part #'s 174514-6 (16 pin), 174515-6 (22 pin), and 174516-6 (26 pin), with contacts being part #'s 173631 (large) and 173716 (small). you'll need 16 of the larger and 48 of the smaller ones.

www.onlinecomponents.com stocks all these parts.

the female plug costs ~$6

the male plugs cost ~$1 each and the pins are about 4-5 cents each and they have no minimum order.

Thought you may find this useful :-)

Great find! This will make a loom adaptor from a stocker to your fantastic ECU a breeze! :)

Interesting find JP. According to Mark Harrison at Owen Development the Subaru Impreza uses the same type of plugs. I think that's what he used to make up my loom adapter for my MoTeC M4 to OEM ST20 engine loom.

Not Yet DJ. I will order one set to confirm they are correct and then maybe run a group buy as there seems to be fair amount of interest?

Hi JP.

There does seem to be a minimal order as displayed below from the shopping cart, not that its a major problem.

Quote:
Minimum Order Not Reached
Onlinecomponents.com has a minimum order total of $35 for orders shipping within the US and $100 for international orders.

You may continue with your order, but a surcharge will be added to bring your order to the minimum.
Proceed with $26.40 surcharge

I for 1 will be up for ordering 3 complete sockets with terminal pins and as 3 sets of each required plug with pins.

JP if you are going to place an order soon, could i add my order onto yours, however if you are not placing an order shortly then I shall place the order asap and add on what ever you require.

would be good to go ahead real soon , have plenty of jobs that required the above connectors making my life that little bit easier using new.

DJ,
I am not going to get a chance to sort this out before I bugger off to Le Mans this weekend.

If you are hapy to order I will take 2 full sets (sockets/pins & connectors) and Steve will take 1 full set. I can paypal you money for all three sets or send a cheque over m8.

Otherwise I will organise a group buy on my return from le mans in circa 2 weeks.

Hi Jp, yes all sorted, just a few little things.

part number 173631 comes in 5 types, only 2 in stock, dimension appear to be the same, price is not. just a few 1/4 cents.

part numbers : 173631-1 & 173631-6 both dimensions are # Wire Range = 0.50-1.40² [20-16] mm [AWG]
# Insulation Diameter = 2.01 - 2.59 mm..

part no. 174518-7 AMP / TYCO 10 back order (8 wk).

ordered both sets of pins that came up under part no 173631

shipment of parts in stock was 7-14 days, not long now, as for the female connector the major part i need 7 weeks away.

ordered 10 complete sets.

Any luck DJ?
Had a bit of a search and both Farnell & RS components are distributors but don't have full stock!

http://ecommerce.tycoelectronics.com/wh ... egion=0401

Bloody female connector always causes issues!
