Hiya
I can't seem to find on that site connectors for a 165 as wish to make up an extension loom ( so as to be able to wire in for example emanage/safc anything really) and being able to solder things in in an easier enviroment instead of footwell nad so as i can return to standard just on quick removal

does anyone know where else i may be able to get them ? or another way to do what i am after ?

Cheers
Jingo11

Just to bump this, seems the ECU plugs are 'TE connectivity' unless I'm mistaken.

**** edit ***** this part No. may be wrong. Refer to original post for ECU PCB mount connector

ECU male socket:

http://www.te.com/catalog/pn/en/1-17876 ... 1-178764-6

Not yet managed to find a supplier / stock.

Did the connectors ever arrive from online ? Were they ok to deal with ?

I have just put in quote requests with them and another company called legend electronics.

The plot thickens a little. I'm hopefully ordering something else from online components, so wanted to make up minimum order with samples in the hopes of finding the correct sockets to go onto standard ECU loom.
The ECU plug listed in JP's original post seems to be the correct ECU plug and is in stock !!! D'OH.

To make a note of some other numbers I've found (will verify accuracy when the order arrives)

16 pin 040 series (to connect to loom) 174046-2 (cable) 174053-2 (pcb r/a) 174975-2 (pcb vert) (available from Farnell)

040 (small) tab contact 345164-1 (available from farnell)
070 (large) tab contact 173645-1 (available from farnell)

No amount of searching is showing up a 22 pin or 26 pin.

Update, it seems that the plugs I knew I'd seen are in fact a single block like the ECU. A closer look at the picture, it looks like the wires are soldered onto PCB pins.
