been using tweakedperformance.com for years when i need to make up conversion looms etc.

i don't like cutting up the standard loom for any reasons so i've just made one to a motec m4 to make it plug and play on a customers car. Had to replace the original factory loom because the previous installer had made a right mess of it and hadn't bothered to connect most of the functions, then cut off the extra loom in the engine bay, so had to do this to make it run as it should

The bits have arrived. I now have 6 ECU sockets plus one set of plugs so I can make a test loom for a standard ecu to run side by side with mine on the bench.

I haven't tried the contacts, but they look about right.

Apart from that, everything fits to each other and to the standard ECU so I guess I can confirm the part numbers and supplier in the original post.

toyota ECU plug part #'s for custom harnesses

female receptacle is amp/tyco part # 174518-7

the male plugs are part #'s 174514-6 (16 pin), 174515-6 (22 pin), and 174516-6 (26 pin), with contacts being part #'s 173631 (large) and 173716 (small). you'll need 16 of the larger and 48 of the smaller ones.

http://www.onlinecomponents.com stocks all these parts.

the female plug costs ~$6

the male plugs cost ~$1 each and the pins are about 4-5 cents each and they have no minimum order.

Thought you may find this useful :-)
