Been a while since I have done an update...
Basically the car is now a rolling chassis, that is, all the sub-frames front and rear, polybushes, brakes and wheels all on.

I have had a few discussions about the fuel setup over the last couple of weeks.
Decided to go with ATL fuel tank and internal Bosch 044. The tank has an internal swirl pot and foamed filled, thus eliminates surge issues and means that I do not need to go for an additional external pump and swirl pump.
Lines are going to be in stainless steel (cheaper than copper) and will run underneath the car following the OEM route.
Going for 2 x 6mm feeds and 1 x 8mm return.
Fuel rail is a wolfaktz top feed with 880cc Delphi injectors.
Also have a setup for fuel pressure regulation and monitoring.

I have also been looking at harmonic balancers.
Decision is....if I can get hold of one then I'll get it.
Currently in discussions with Garage 7 (AUS) who are speaking to Ross Performance.
Basically decided to play safe.

Final thing I'm looking at is ignition.
Followed others threads on cop etc.
Looked at the MSD web site.
Read some very good articles on the subject.
However, my current setup should be fine...
KN1 quad core ignition leads; 205 coil and ignitor; HKS ignition amplifier.

Things are moving on so hopefully have another update sooner rather than later.

Crikey is really August last year when I lasted made an update
Well here we go...
Basically the pedal box (with brake biased system) is in, the reservoir's are fitted and fuel and brake lines are nearly complete.
A lot of work went in here - there are 2 x 8mm feeds and 1 x 10mm return for the fuel lines and they were all hand made.
Here's some pics:

Fuel lines follow the oem route/path under the car.

Spare wheel bracket has been removed and a flat circular plate has been welded in.
Tank sits flat in the wheel well now and will be foamed fill around the edges to hold in place but will also have, for security, clamps/brackets to hold down.
Super expensive aero fittings will be fitted to the boot floor to connect fuel feeds and return from under the car and then from the tank.
This will make any future mods to the tank (e.g. additional pump or swirl pot setup) a lot easier to do.

Cool. 8) Is that brake booster replacing setup DIY or off a shelf?

Nigel,

Nice to see some good progress.

Am I right in thinking you have removed the servo altogether? With the reported ST185 bulkhead flex and cracking (more to do with the steering rack but who knows) have you added any bracing/stiffening to the bulkhead or cylinder mountings? I assume you will need more brake pressure from your foot (subject to brake piston sizes and brake setup) and hence get more bulkhead flex and possibility of cracking.

I don't know enough about this subject hence the above is a question I am interested in.

Yes
Replaced with the twin cylinders and brake biased system.

The backing to the cylinder mountings provides the bracing
As you can see better from the following pic

I'm guessing it will be comparable to standard/slightly more effort because I am running K-Sport big brake kits front and rear but wont really know until I try.

It's been a while since I've done an update, so here goes...
Car was transported to SCW back in July this year.
This is what it looked like on arrival (after hosing down)

Then after many, many hours of hard graft from Baz,
this is what it looks like now (when I popped down yesterday)

There are a few bits'n'pieces to do before it goes to paint.
To say that I'm very pleased would be an understatement.
Baz has done a tremendous job and has been absolutely brilliant!
(thanks mate - very much appreciated)

Nice to see the project moving ahead Nigel, you forgot to mention all the hard work that's gone into the seat mounting so your helmeted bonce doesn't rattle off the roof and roll cage

Baz has done loads of stuff including, as you rightly mention, the seat mounting.
The idea and design of which came from discussions with you and with regards to your build :D
It wasn't straight forward either and involved manipulating/massaging the gearbox tunnel.

He has also completely stripped all of the sound deadening.
...a pig of a job to do!

The body work he has done is mind blowing  ...it's seriously as smooth as a babies bottom :D

About a year ago a scoop was fitted to the front bumper.

This year has been A LOT of prep work.

Popped down last week and the interior has been painted.

Due in the paint shop for the exterior next week.

Put in a request to Baz to see about getting the dash flocked and fitted.

Then it's fitting the windscreen and polycarb window kit so as to have a "sealed" unit.

Roll cage is bespoke....done by a company in Basingstoke who do these sort of cages for their racing BMWs and BTCC cars.

Already poly-bushed (apart from the spherical ones which are genuine OEM Toyota).

Now if you could get me one of those carbon-fibre one piece prop-shafts from the States :?: :D
