I felt it was going to be much easier with the Carcept 185 specific rear bumper - it gave me the style I was looking for, it's an excellent fit, fixings are all in the right places and only "minor" modifcations to bring the rear out to the arches. BTW: The rear bumper where shown in the pics above actually has a metal plate fibreglassed in allowing it to bolt to the arch, that way the rear bumper can be removed easily and in one piece. |

Quick update... Bodywork fabrication very nearly done, all windows and windscreen out (including trims and surrounds). We're near as dam-it ready for primer - just waiting for a slot at the painters

Do you have a close-up of the bootlid fitment Muddy? They are sold as perfect fitment. Perfect is 100% correct, but looks like there are panel gaps? Hope not (I have one as well)

Knowing you from previous conversations you're not going to be particularly happy mate. This is a genuine SEIBON CF ATA Bonnet and is not a 100% correct fitment. Rear fitment across scuttle panel is good. Fitment to hinges is good. Shut lines along each wing is good, that is, even and uniform. However, I feel there is a little too much of a gap. There is also a bit of a gap between the rear of the headlight units - this may be because I am using the MR2 headlight conversion. Front shut line was a bit out but this may be because I not using the CF strip that goes between the headlights. We actually raised the whole of the front bumper, to compensate for not using the CF strip, to align with the bonnet and get a smooth transition. Having said all that it may be that yours fits better as you are fitting to oem bumper and headlights. |

The boot lid is actually a very good fit. There is only 1 place either side where there is a slight gap which will be taken out when the rear screen is fitted. I'll see if I can dig out some pics - actually the first 2 pics at the top of this page show the gap I'm talking about. |

UPDATE Bodywork completed
Car ready for stage 1 paint, that is, dropping the car off to the painters in Basingstoke this Friday afternoon for it to be prepped, sealed and etch primed. Once complete, from there it goes to the roll cage manufacturers (also in Basingstoke) for the roll cage to be made and fitted. Timescales look as if they will have it next Wednesday for a week. |
