In assistance to Nigel B (Muddywater), he has asked me to suggest a list of items to purchase prior to turbo swap to a hybrid and cat to aussie downpipe.

If anyone can think of iother items to add to the list please do so:-

1) Turbo oil feed/return pipe (metal bendy thing)
2) Turbo oil feed pipe to turbo gasket (thin metal item)
3) Turbo water feed pipe to turbo gasket (paper/cardboard type thing)
4) 4 off turbo to manifold "Toyota Crush Nuts"
5) 7 off special "Aussie bolts" these are 10x1.25 thread but with a 14mm head and not a typical 17mm head that most bolts come with.

Items that can be re-used:-
Turbo to DP gasket
Turbo to exhaust manifold gasket

I'd suggest using a new turbo - manifold gasket (double oval hole thingy) having destroyed a turbo after a secondhand one delaminated.
The dp - exhaust gasket normally gets destroyed when taking apart as well, though the aussie may come with this.

Thanks JP.
(I hated XTC :x )
Just need to get hold of part numbers now - anyone know if there's an online or pdf parts catalogue anywhere?
Here perhaps ?
http://www.ayrpark.plus.com/epc1/toyota/details.asp/fgn=1701&tregion=j&cid=215&mid=5&fulldate=11_01_19.html - but which numbers?

I was planning on leaving it bare because it looks like it has a coating on it already (may be wrong though).
Having said that, I had thought about giving it a spray with some high temperature paint (as I have some in the garage).
However, I'm open to suggestions/opinions.

Paint it and lag it, that's what I did after it cracked when left bare

There's a link to the online epc somewhere. Otherwise i think it's toyodiy.com

Part no for turbo-manifold is 17278-88480

One thing i plan on doing next time is swapping the stud/nut arrangement for simple bolts. Makes dp removal much easier when there's no studs in there!

Is it an Aussie one? I think they are ceramic coated are they not?

I wrapped mine but its a cheapy one. :)

I would also add to the list.

1) Some oil to top up with as you may lose some when doing the change.

2) Some coolant as you will definitely lose some when you disconnect the water lines.

I would consider swapping the oil pressure regulator valve too as you are adding an oil cooler.
ST205 Oil Pressure Regulator REGULATOR 15310-88460 £18.44 ??
ST205 Gasket for Oil Pressure Regulator GSKT, OIL REG 15318-88460 £3.03 ??

Also if you haven't got one... hows about an oil filter or two ;-)

Got oil.
Literally just changed oil filter (but have a couple of new ones anyway).
Will pick up some coolant fluid.
