Oh my days of loving the bling are long gone, well when it comes to GT4's anyway.

This game is far too damned expensive to be paying over the odds when something that does the job just fine can be had at less cost.

3/4 UNF fitting for the oil filter yeah? not sure what size those pipes are mind they were pretty hefty

They look pretty big to me - 5/8 i would expect.

One thing to bare in mind, I find that as the thermostat is never fully closed (there is always a tiny bit of flow just like the water one) its enough to keep the oil quite cool even with my small cooler. I think your oil cooler looks about 2x bigger than mine.

Fit the thermostat then stick a bit of plastic etc over half of it aswell I would.

May be worth cutting a piece of perforated steel to restrict airflow over it. Will also protect it against general road debris/roadkill. The location looks fantastic for airflow but also fantastic for hoovering up rocks, hedgehogs & small children.
