Right i've been out to the shed and got my FLAC Jacket, Helmet and i've found a use for the yellow pages....its down the back of my pants!!

Why ....

Because this is that post..you know The one you put up on the OC the one that brings out every anally retentive purist that believes the only look you can have on a Four is rally, even though they have spats, side skirts, mongoose exhausts, fmic, power fc's, bride seats and use there four for track days!!

Hopefully they are still on the OC

I needed a bumper and couldn't get the Compulsory CS one so when this came along i took it and what a mare it has been!

So i beg you don't bang on about it if it's not your taste!! Am i really going to take any notice of your opinion (read my 1st post).

Ok so it fits where it touches and thats not so many places, so for the mean time the old crappy, warped, scuffed ugly plastic affair is going back on untill i decide the route to take!

OK we're kinda up to date...

So this is what has happened in the last 2 months since the old BAT rev'ed here broom up and F**ked off.

I made a clocking bracket but i didn't take 2 things fully into account.

1. those dumb coolant pipes off the top metal hose
2. thickness off my silicone hose.

Bracket

Image

Image

I managed to find a guy locally breaking a four and his had a pair of metal pipes which bolt to the turbo but join to the metal pipe in the top hose via rubber pipes. (mine was a welded 1 piece affair)

Image

Image

However the silicone hose was too tight over the top of the bracket so..
i drilled, cut and filed untill the pipe passed through the bracket then welded in a bracing section to stop it bending.

Before the mod...

Image

]

one water hose runs back to the pipe on the block much as it did before.
the other now runs to a modded fan switch housing drilled to take a 10mm id fitting for the hose to clamp on.

Koyo in place

Image

I just need a joiner for the Thermostat hose to the bottom radiator hose 32mm by 8" long.

Image

Next up FMIC !!

MIdnite - it's great to see someone trying a few different things, it's easy to just follow the crowd!

Bravo for having some imagination and having a go! :)

The front mount intercooler.

Again i know all the posts about design, type blah, blah, blah will probably appear.

i got this before the evo core became the standard and i could sell it for more than i paid, as this isn't a race car and i'm not looking for every millionth of a horsepower it will do until i decide what i want to do next.

In the past i had hung the unit and butchered the bumper to fit..

That was then and this is over the last 3 weeks or so.

Mock up..

this is the pipe kit l used, plus 2 extra bends (90)

Hi

Wasn't sure where you got to with the wife?
From personal experience I would get rid, you will be far happier
and then can find an understanding replacement.

Life is an opportunity.

I'm guessing the broom and f**ked off comment would indicate the wife has gone...

Good progress though, always nice to see some imagination used to get round fitment issues and so forth.

HEY, i think that looks pretty good!
I think it needs some graduation from the bonnet to the top of the bumper, to smooth the lines out.
I can see that is work in progress, so tell me to shut up if you already have that in hand! LOL
Other than that, it is nice to see something different and a LOT of hard work is obviously going into this. :D

How have you moulded the shapes into the wing?

Clever to get them to match up with those on the bumper.

loosey,

the front edge just below the bonnet has a trim missing which matches the bumper edge and that is still in the boot...

i have had the bumper for an age, and you can see what i was up against.

i was working on a fibre glass panel for the wing to match the bumper but i now have fibre glass wings as you see...
