On a side note I have been looking at the following concept:

Really like the way it's done, and the side duct for the oil cooler is a great inspiration.

A lot of job to be done ... thanks for those pics Muddy Water

Great DIY work mate! I've been toying with the idea of placing a smaller rad inside the nose frame as well and this gives me a lot of inspiration! Do you have temp data to see what difference the ducting makes?

I have some with the old setup
But as i focus on water temp (my neverended issue) i don't log any IC temp before / after is those same conditions

Golpher + EVO IC + 71° thermostat + free air flow :
71/72 on the road (normal driving style)
80/85 after 7/12 min of abuse on the road which is not a true abuse time
80/85 after 4/7 min of good lap time on a semi twisty track
95 after 13/15 min
105 after 18 min
usually decided to slow down, short shift, ... to cool the engine down

Oil temp never exceed 110°
4 track days pratice, ambiant temp varying from 11° to 19°

Golpher + EVO IC + 71° thermostat + AirDuct v1 :
71/72 on the road (normal driving style)
75/80 after 10/15 min of abuse on the road
80/85 after 8/10 min of good lap time on a semi twisty track
95 after 21/24 min
105 after 31 min (only once as the practice usually last 20/25 min)

Oil temp never exceed 120°
3 track days pratice, ambiant temp from 9° to 22°

Didn't have experienced the new setup on the track nor the road yet
Magny cours F1 track plan in march but log won't show anything as it's a F1 track and my car never suffer from overheated on such big and straight track

Another small update

After taking care on the front of the rad it's time to work on the back :DIY store, 1.5mm alloy sheet (as always now), pop rivet, time, time, time ... and time.

As you can see i will try the "venturi effect"
New engine oil cooler setup is under progress (19 rows, wide), i know how to put air on it but not how to best extract yet.

May need some small loover on the slope (20° angled) ahead of the massive ones, have to try before add anything.

Of course everything is removable with screws round head or CHc in 3 parts, even the bumper floor is attached with nut insert (cage nut?)

Hotter ambiant temp  cooling failed

Even if it's good on track in march, after 7 min of road abuse i can clearly see 95° so something is not working correctly.

Change my 13 oil rad to a 19 rows  2° less than before
Oil is not the reason my engine heat like that

Remove 3° timing (even if there is no det) 0° less than before but EGT grows a bit

I then remembered my ASI vs Golpher experience, ASI is thicker and not as good as Golpher one, and this RS500 rad is really big with bar rows, could this be the issue ?

I think only a few rows f this rad is enough for coolant to pass the rad, about 1/3, which is half confirmed by the heat on the rad : top is really hot, middle lukewarm and bottom really cold (normal on a vertical core but it's not my situation), i expected a hot right side to a cold left side.

May I try a tri pass mod, if 1/3 is enough to pass water what are the risk ?
