Looking around at the various nuts on offer I am shocked at how much some companies want for them.

So will these fit my 205? And are they likely to fall apart because they are cheap rubbish.

These nuts

And these locking nuts

It is narking me off that it seems so tough to verify what nuts are right. So the solution is to pester you fine people about it :D

any 12x1.5 thread wheelnuts will fit, but do your wheels have little recesses for the nut to snuggle into, or are they a straight flat surface?

if in doubt, i would contact who ever made your wheels and ask if they can supply. however, if you still have the same wheels as me then you will never find the maker and i cant remember if they are recessed or flat!

i would shy away from anything bling when it comes to important safety parts such as wheel nuts, but thats my own opinion - especially if you are going to be driving hard on the road and track

The wheels have the 60degree cone fitting, not flat or round.

I can find nuts in a variety of placs but they cost anywhere between £50 and £100 for a set. I am looking for a cheaper solution than that and i know I will lose on quality for that but i don't want to run with dangerously cheap nuts.

The wheels I have atm are the same fitting (recessed) but i don't like having open hole because it will be very visible on the new wheels.

These look very similar to stock ST205 facelift (six spoke type wheels) wheel nuts! TBH £50 doesn't sound too bad for good quality nuts. You might find a bigger choice of wheel nuts at a kit-car show but its probably the wrong time of year for that :?

I'm not really complaining about the cost of decent nuts. Just looking for a way to keep cost down after Christmas.

I've bought the nuts in the link and I'll be keeping a close eye on them for signs of damage/stress.
