Sunny looks like you are lucky. Fensport are not able to source the pistons anymore. Yours are fine but mine would be twice as expensive!

I am going to try tb developments tomorrow as they also list the pistons but otherwise I will have to go for another type.

tim at TBdevelopments can get you anything you want Sirius, he only uses cp pistons in his builds, mainly a 86.25mm but he swears by them so i would be certain he can get you them and at alot better price than fensport too

If TB can't supply then I'd go direct to CP in the US. You have someone in Wichita who can act as postal address if required!

I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.

Fensport said that their contact could only offer the single set of pistons at your price and that all the others would be double making them almost £1000 for the set.

I believe that they are OEM bearings but I will check this with the builder tomorrow.

TGT in Basingstoke can also get CP pistons - they are having a custom set made for mine to work with the HKS 2200cc crank & rods

Pistons arrived yesterday, just waiting on the rods now and I can really get started with the engine build.

As mentioned before I went for some 86.25mm CP pistons, these are reputed to be very good, they certainly look good quality. the 86.25mm size allows me to keep the most material on the cylinder wall as possible with my used block. I got these from TBDevelopments who carry them in stock and had them to me only 3 days after placing my order.

Shiney!

The craftsmanship appears to be very good, there are no sharp edges to speak of.

Hi Sunny,

These are a custom spec that TBDevelopments have put together, they are listed as being 8.5:1 CR.

I will look into measuring them and establishing an accurate CR for the engine.
