I was wondering about alliminum foil & impact adhesive :? If it stops the chicken burning must be ok under the bonnet :)

Took my bumper panel off and made the nessesary changes needed to fit the metro rad on Saturday. Now i'm finding I have a decission to make again.

The metro rad I have isn't ideal in it has the inlet and outlet on different sides. The Metro tubby rad however has them on the same side (was told this was a turbo rad by ebay twit before I brought it) which makes the fitting process a lot easier... Do I sell the rad I have and....

a. buy a metro rad with inlet & outlet on the same side
b. have a custom rad made (about £100-150)
c. say sod it all the works been done sell the charge cooler and go fmic :?

Reason I went charge cooler in the first place was the fact that I live on the outskirts of London, which means a lot of my driving is in town, which means a fmic wouldn't be efficent compaired to a charge cooler :? but a fmic looks more rally bling thats for sure :? Im not planning on going past the 300bhp area, which means the charge cooler is more than capable of coping, but....

The WTA setup will probably be a lot easier to install than a FMIC.

I'd probably try and source a new metro turbo radiator, I'd suspect you could get these new for ~£50?

How is tony??
and i head about davyp too, very very sad..top bloke.

in regards to fitting a charge-cooler system to an st185, i was going to do this on my 1990 st185 with a system from a cs, and found out that the air con rad is different, oil cooler and pipes are different, which also meant buying them, so i didnt bother. and at
of course if you remove air con then the rad isnt a problem.

and at the time, a lot of people didnt know that st185's had different sized ac rad's and different oil coolers, depending on the year.

i think from 1992 on they had the same.
