I currently have the "hard to get hold of" 215/50/R16 KUHMO tyres on my ST205, could I use Bridgestone Potenza 225-50-16 92V Tyres(P389) instead, or any other 225/50/16? |

Hi, 225/40 R16 and the rolling circumference is nearly identical to OEM greetz |

Thanks for your reply. Is that the only option or is there another size I could use? Cheers |

Hi, the issue is the speedometer accuracy, it shows you to less or to much addicted about you have more or less rolling circumference 225/50 R16 also works as a friend of mine drives that size with a toyota approval greetz |

And be sure to use the same tyre size (circumference) all round in order to keep the diffs happy. ![]() |

I have used a 225/50/16 on my car for the last 8 years now. As long as you keep all the tyres the same it's fine. |

Thank you all for your input, I have decided to go with the 225/50/R16, all the way round of course. Thanks again. Paul |

I normally use 205/50/16 as there's a bit less tramlining. Makes the speedo read about 5% high. |

If it helps i'm running 225/50/R16 Kumho Ecsta KU31's on 7J rims. One of the cheapest tyres on the market in this size but i swear by them. Used to run Goodyear Eagle F1's but switched to these as they are half the price and 98% of the grip. |
