Finished cutting and test fitting the dash ...

The driver side air-vent needs some modification if it is to be retained so I cut away and used some masking tape to initially seal it back up to test fit, I will trim this a bit more and fibre-glass a new contoured skin so that the vent still functions fully ...

Experimented more with the headlining and got it to where I wanted with cardboard and scrim foam ...

Was going to use hardboard and a foam backing - it was a bit heavy really ...

Image
Image
Image

So decided to use card from a bike box and covered it in scrim foam...

Image

Image
Image

Fitting was a bit tight, but it worked OK ...

Image
Image

Finally looked at re-installing the front loom and removing redundant wiring such as the radio/speaker wires ...

Continued working on the driver side air-vent with a little more fettling and fibreglass ...

Had to rework the previous attempt as there wasn't enough clearance - so out with the rasp ...

Image

Used some aluminium mesh to provide the best contour before glassing ...

Image
Image

Glassed up and a bit of finishing with the sandpaper ...

Image
Image

Final painting ...
