MFactory has joined the forums over there. They say they will be more active next week. They are also trying to source an oem unit to build from.

Just got up, but I will try and explain it.
I think those numbers only apply to clutch type lsd. They will build a torsen type which is like a quaife or our oem rear lsd. Torsen has great split as long as both wheels are on the ground. If a wheel lifts, then it becomes an open diff. This is the main disadvantage. Front lift is not an issue on the gtfours, but rear outside lift is common which is why a clutch type in the rear is better. Their advantages are the torsens do not need maintenance. Just change your gearbox oil at regular intervals. If I remember correctly the typical torsen split is up to 80:20. Where this helps in on corner exit in our cars. We tend to get push and inside wheel spin thanks to the lousy oem open front diff. Its transferring power to that wheel, where we rather have it on the outside tire giving us an earlier chance of getting on the gas on corner exit. So hopefully with this we could see faster corner speeds and much faster exit speeds.
If someone wants to chime in, isn't the trd front diff that the fensport y2k gtfour is using torsen in the front?

The TRD LSD in the Fensport Gen7 GT4X is a plate type not a Torsen. Shame that MFactory are looking at making a Torsen type LSD. A clutch type like the Cusco, TRD or Kaaz would be better for racing.

TTA? is that Toyota Team Australia? If it is, I don't think they are operating any more.

Yeah, I don't know much about their current state. A few years back I contacted them after I found out they developed an active center lsd for our gearbox. They quoted me about $13,000usd at the time. They also made a front lsd which they quoted me around $4,500usd.

But a torsen type would be better than open diff for racing too, service free, driveable on the road, not a bad option over no option.

I'll add you to the list. Trying to find them a diff in the states for basing the design off of.

As long as there are no objections we found someone in the states with a diff to donate and they will also do test fitting as well document the installation of this diff when they test fit it.
