I use a 3" down and midpipe from Aussi in combination with a HKS silent high power on my ST185 CS. Was a bolt on solution. The only thing we´ve done to it was to weld a steel cat into the straight pipe of the midpipe:

I know it's been discussed before but can someone confirm if: Aussi front section which replaces the front flexi will bolt onto the HKS silend back and mid or mongoose system? I want to know if it's compatable before making a few of my own. |

Hi, i would say yes, lont time ago when i drove a blitz nür spec r there where no fitting issues, which makes me think that the HKS also fit greetz |

I have a HKS exhaust on mine - not totally sure which type as I did not buy it, I also have fitted to it an Aussie front pipe. It works together fine. |

nice one. I've been looking for a 3" front for a while. Some people have been buying the cheaper ebay 3" systems and then selling off the rear back box. Seen some people wanting to make these but out of my price range so I'll see about copying an aussy instead. |

surely depend if the 2 sections are flange type or slide type fitment. my old mongoose is wanky slide type! |

The Aussi midpipe is a direct replacement to the stock mid pipe and got flanges on both ends to fit up with stock or after market exaust systems in the rear end and a stock kat or downpipe in the front. Stock vs. Aussi mid pipe:

It´s an universal 100 CPI steelcat, fitted with a set of universal flanges. Bought the cat from a german online shop. We´ve welded it in back there because it will reduce the gas flow only minimal. Driving without a cat was no option as removing the cat from a car that got a cat stock is not legal here in Germany and against the local tax laws. It performs very well. I don´t feel a power loss from driving without cat and even as it´s only a 100 CPI cat it is effective enough to manage the smoke test cars have to do every two years here. |

now I'm just wandering if if passes the UK emissions law here because they're really strict for our yearly MOT tests which requires a cat. Whats the website you bought it from and how much? |

on a st205 the blue flame ( same as mongoose ? ) is different as it has its own front pipe and the flanges are at different angles towards the rear but the blitz etc should be fine. as for cats just fit a 400 cpi then remove after mot
