Car is finished and on the road again !

Put the hood back on on saturday and did the first test drive followed by a bigger one on sunday with the target Nürburgring. Didn´t drove on the track as I want to test out the car a bit more befor as there was minor changes done.

But even now I can say the project was a sucess and I did the right choice of parts and mods.

-The used power steering and chargecooler pumps work decent
-The cooling system is more bored than stressed
-The non organic clutch is halfway usable on public roads
-The ST205 gearbox with it´s differing ratios works as I hoped
-The minimal mid range jerking is gone due to the new ignition parts
-The custom builded turbo works as good as the stock one in lower RPM range and bring much more output above 5000 RPM. I even interupted the high speed test I´ve done on my way home as I was a bit scared of the car. Speedo needle had far passed the final mark at 260 km/h and the car was still pulling strong without a drop in boost.

Well Done! Sounds like it all mostly went to plan. The Exedy Hyper Single six puck cerametallic clutch sounds like it is a bit difficult to drive on the road?

Not so bad as I was feared of. Needed pedal force is equal to stock. In fact a bit more precision is needed in footwork at starting from still standing and car jerks a bit at below 10 km/h ,but it's much less digital in use as usually descripted.

Visited a dyno day in Luxembourg with my Allradschlurre on saturday and had a run on the dyno too. Went out fine with agood result. Made 310 HP and 400 Nm on the flywheel at 1.09 Bar boost using only 98 Oktan fuel. Normaly I run 102 Oktan fuel, but I didn't get it in Luxembourg.

Also made a video of the dyno run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpY1LNLRLwk

No, that was the peak that was reached on the dyno. My car don't raise the boost like at streetuse while it's on the dyno. At road drive the boost raise to 1.15 bar and get limited there due to the stock pistons.

Three german owners of white Celica Carlos Sainz Edition had a minimeet last weekend. We also invited a semi professional photographer we know from the german Toyota-Forum as we wanted to do a fotoshooting.

Here one of the first pictures from that day showing No 1946 (mine, original Toyota Super White 040, now Porsche Firnweiß) , No 2959 ( Wolfgang´s, original Toyota Super White 040 ) and No 2050 ( Marco´s, original Black 205, now Toyota Super White 040 ) :

We took the hole day for the shooting, using multiple spots. There will come much more and much more impressive photos, but they aren´t finished yet. Need some magic of the photographer.
