The rear cage arrived finally. Should be here until end of july, but took a bit longer. The manufacturer, Saftety Devices in UK only produce it on order and the shipping to Germany took weeks.

I didn´t decided jet to put it in now or to wait for the winter when the car isn´t registered anyway.

Good stuff! I presume it's a bolt-in type and you will have to fabricate the mounting points on the car? Good project for the winter perhaps?

Yes, it´s a bolt in. Reinforcement plates to weld into the chassis came with the cage but will need a bit of fabrication.

The cage itself will need some modification too. They only make it with the brackets to extand it to a full cage. I don´t need this brackets and they disturb me, so i will cut them away.

Nice Eric. Seems like you still retain access to the rear seat area/ICE setup as well with this design. :)

Yes, even as this area is dead space because of the angle of my boot floor there. But without the additional cross or straight brace in the front bow this design allows me to slide the seats more backwards, what is essential for me as You know. That XLarge lifestyle...

Looking forward to see your car again at the Ring or something next season man. I'll probably be with the YTS, but still. Lol.

Well I actually have the Hyper Rev now Don.. But so far only a TRD rear sway bar (which is made by TRD USA and not in the Hyper Rev, lol).

Any other/new plans for the Auris, Eric?

The Auris is already finished. Already spend some money and time on it:

http://auris-forum.de/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5111

Needs some wheel spacers and lowering springs, but there are no spring or coilover kits avaible so far. Still think about to purchase the TRD sideskirts matching the installed TRD front spoiler lip, but they expensive to ship.

The final parts arrived today. Genuine HKS dumb valve to replace the Blitz one and two Takata Race4Bolt harness belts..... Made in Germany

Now the winter can come. Time for clear out the interiour, bring the car to the body shop to get the base plates for the cage and the belts welded in, bring the cage to the painter ( the cage will become Porsche white like the car is painted outside ) , modify the interiour panels to fit the cage and build a new floor in the rear.

Sounds like you will be busy over the winter. The Takata belts will add a nice JDM touch too :D They own Schroth in Germany so I guess they are made in the same factory. It's a small world these days.

Yes, they're made by Schroth just like some other belts on the market like Sparco and Sabelt. Takata is the biggest seatbelt and airbag manufacturer of the world and is OEM deliverer for a lot of international car manufacturers too.
