Sard injectors are indeed manufactured by Nippon Denso and I spent a fair while trying to locate the original source vehicle and Denso part number so well done if you have found out what it is!

The concern is that there are so many fake parts being made in China (including sard injectors and Walbro fuel pumps).

yeah I know. I came across quite a few suppliers from china offering them to me at a fraction of the price I paid for these but after reading the chinese forums people found that many couldn't reach and maintain a steady 700cc.
The ones I have now where from Nippan Denso just un branded and clkmotorsport being a distributor in Malaysia had to label it them selves.

Just as a follow-up to this and after a discussion at a curry meet I decided that it would be well worth having these injectors flow tested to ensure that all was well before installing them in my new forged engine.

I used a place called injectortune that I found to be very efficient and helpful.

Here are the results of the flow testing:

Image

As can be seen the injectors have all flowed 860cc which is better than the Sard stated 800cc and ties in closely with Ray’s comments and findings regarding the injectors being sold as 850cc.

I now have no qualms with using these injectors in my new build.

I’d like to thank Ray for sourcing them for me! :)

Excellent info and very reassuring! Would be interesting to see what the stock injectors flow rate is given they are also Denso items.

Ace,
nice even flow as well.

I have found another link now that indicates that they are around 880cc @ 3 bar! (from an injector cleaning & testing place).

http://www.witchhunter.com/injectordata1.php4

It is also interesting that they indicate that flow is increased after cleaning NOT what I had been told that an injector that hosed due to crud build up would flow more. The source of the original info was an aero test engineer that worked for us and TBF he was talking about the 1970s :-)

I have a set of 540cc ST205 injectors I may use until my large fuel rail and top feed 680cc go in. Considering it is only £12.50 each to get the 540cc cleaned and tested I may well do this.

Hi Gary,

I paid £32 for the flow testing. I didn't have them cleaned as they are brand new injectors.

That cost included VAT and return carriage special delivery.

I thought that was a very good price.
