Went to veysport today just to give me a idea of what I'm running, and where theres room for improvement.

Sadly the car made a very low 160hp at the wheels so 207 @fly!

Andy told me that my boost gauge was inaccurate and that at my '1 bar' it was actually only 0.7!
Also the 205 ecu is dumping far too much fuel creating a mega rich mixture which basicly is loosing me about 100hp!
He said that with the mods I have, should easily see 300+hp. So to do so am needing mappable ecu and better fuel pump.

I'm in process of trying to get apexi from cryo who posted one for sale and as for fuel pump I've looked at walbro 255lph on ebay for £70, is that about right for one or has anyone used one that they would recommend?

what mods do you have?

at the SRR day there were a few ST205's that made around the 300bhp (at the fly) running standard ecu at around .9 to 1.0 bar.

with mappable ecu, running 1.1 - 1.2 bar should see you around 310 - 330bhp with supporting mods. (decat, uprated panel filter or intake, exhaust, EBC or manual BC set at 1.1 bar)

we had a couple of fairly standard cars running 280+ @ the fly.

There may be a bit more to your lack of power than only running .7 bar and running very rich.

post up a few of the printouts for people to look at.

That AFR is bad!

Was a 205 MAP sensor installed when the 205 loom and ECU was fitted?

I think that the 185 loom is still on car. I'm no expert at all this, but there is a air flow meter in intake pipe to turbo.

Chris (nibbles) knows whats installed on mine as he had a look before.

holy cow its off the chart! mine runs rich at 10.5:1 but thats crazy!

like kris says,t he 205 is a map sensor, so i imagine the ecu would like to have a 205 map sensor rather than a 185 maf

Yes I remember something about the maf being removed. Is getting mappable ecu a good way to fix the fueling?

I have very much the same mods as this and at last years surrey rr mine made 236 at 0.7 bar, and mine was running very rich too. So definate room for some improvement jon, even without a mappable ecu it should be more :? ?. Oh and a front mount filled with some cloth .

Looks like the ECU is not controlling the air fuel mixture (injector cycle) properly hence the rich fuel mixture.
Piggy-back ecu (or the Apexi PFC) and mapped correctly will sort that out.
Warlbro 255lph fuel pump will be fine but you need to sort out the above first.

You don't need a programmable ecu.

If you want 300 bhp. Get the st205 ecu working, swap the CT26 for a gen 3 turbo and get boost up to 1.1 bar.

If you just want to enjoy the car, swap back the st205 ecu for the oem one and change the injectors back.
