have brought a fmic and would like to know if i need to move the oil cooler and pipes i have a st185 and also have the cs thiner bumper metal piece does the fmic fit infront of the oil cooler tho

Only ever done one 185 so can't remember the details but there's loads of room and you don't need to buy anything to move the other coolers if you need to move them.

does anyone know where to get the chain looking things that wrap round a intercooler to hold it in place

i made up a mounting base that bolted into position to site the intercooler on, much more secure

If I was going to be chucking my car round corners, I wouldn't want the FMIC swinging about on chains.

If all else fails, buy some angle or bar (from B&Q if needs be) you can bend with a hammer & vice and make up brackets.

yeah i have a cradle that we made that bolts to the chassis then the ic sits in it and is bolted to the cradle so it is impossible for it to move at all

Dunno if the ST185CS is the same as the ST205 cooler location wise. But on my ST205 i moved the Gearbox Oil Cooler into the passnger side wing as my HKS FMIC takes up literall every bit of space in the bumper. It barely fits behind the bumper reinforcement slam panel.

I have test fitted an FMIC on my CS, and you need to move the gearbox oil cooler.
