Tim found a very large and thankfully dead spider which is definitely not native,to the UK, must have sneaked across from Japan, at least 6" across in the engine bay when he took the engine out.

Will post up a photo when I download it from my phone.

Yes, David P, keeping it simple, but nothing is simple about yours :D :D :D

But will have a base for the future if I find I really need more power, but I think around 340 is enough for an old git like me.

The engine it'self is very simple. Forged pistons/ rods
That's about it. Will make for a superbly torquey (not a word, I know) motor :)

Standard cams and nothing bigger than a GT30 will get you towards 400 lb/ft :)

Well, collected my ST205 from Tim at TB Developments yesterday and I have to say I am over the moon. 1st class workmanship, everything as it should be.

Had a nice steady drive home limited to 3000rpm but car felt good, Tim changed the gearbox linkage bushes and put some proper oil in the gearbox, gear change so much better. Car sounds a bit different but that is possibly down to having replaced my gutted cat with an aussie downpipe. Cannot wait to get the car run in so that I can get the mapping checked by Ryan at SRR.

Now looking forward to Rally Day on Saturday although I have decided not to take my track time as I know I will be tempted to drive at somewaht more than 3 - 3500rpm.

anyway, a couple of photos

and before you all say "I told you so" with regard to the powder coated exhaust shield we live and learn.

I have some VHT paint on the way

If any of you are within easy distance of Kidderminster and you need any work doing on your car get in touch with Tim, you will not be sorry.

Definitely worth the wait Ferdy, go on and take it on track as I have never lapped a GT4 before :D

Seriously, looks very nice.

You could go via Scotland to Rally Day and run it in on the way?

Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

Look forward to seeing your Four on Saturday at RallyDay. There's some serious heat around the exhaust manifold so no surprise the powdercoated heat shield is looking toasty coloured

Looking good.

Don't keep the pedal too light when running in, just keep the revs down. Also start working the revs up slowly once it's done 100 or 2 miles.

Thanks for the kind words and the advice, even if I did go via Scotland I would need to have the mapping checked and the oil changed.

Could not bear to be lapped so no chance of me going on track on Saturday.

Will look forward to seeing some of you on Saturday at Rally Day, be sure to come and say hi, but I'm afraid I will be on the OC stand

I have found a local company who can chrome it so that should sort the heat shield out!!

and I am using the throttle a bit but trying to stick to 3 -3500 rpm. but have now done 200 miles and done an oil change today so will gently start increasing the revs.
