Has anyone made a comparison on forged pistons?
CP, Wasso etc... The prices vary greatly but how about the durability?

I remember there was a thread on here by someone which was talking about using stock 2JZGTE pistons in a 3SGTE and running much higher boost.

Has anyone else given this a go?

Never heard of that. In the 2JZ-GTE the CR is 8.5:1 so if the pin to crown height is the same as the 3S-GTE piston I can't see there would be any advantage. I assume the OEM 2JZ pistons are the same hypereutectic type as the 3S-GTE so if you run higher boost they will potentially liable to the same type of failures. If it were me and I was running higher boost than stock I'd still fit forged pistons to give an extra bit of protection from detonation etc.

A guy in NZ did it, but he profiled the 2JZ pistons to suit his application
