This is a good find. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/ I know most people will ignore it but it must be reasonably accurate and true. Steve |

Thats the test I've referred to in the past regarding Blitz SUS filters being next to useless and Apexi/K+N being very good. Just couldnt remember where the hell I'd seen it ![]() |

Makes you wonder really why the Blitz and HKS dont harm cars. Surely some muck must get sucked into the engine using these filters? I'm opting for the K&N and I'll just adapt it to fit my CS. The Apexi is a little more awakward to install and has a smaller cone than the K&N on my car. |

A'PEXi is the best by far. And not very expensive either. Can get for between AUD$200-250 if anyone is interested ![]() |

Also wouldn't recommend the K&N only because of the fact it is oiled... esp. if you drive a ST165/185 (oil screws around with the AFM readings) |

![]() They were on special last month and they were $150 +shipping. The biggest part of the price is shipping - the supplier I get from only offers shipping via EMS, which is not cheap... ![]() Also shipping from Japan to Australia is more expensive than Japan to Netherlands. I'm sooooo far away from Japan ![]() |

It depends on how much oil is applied to the filter. As long as it's not excessive it will not cause any issues. ![]() The K&N is still the best value for money filter around I'd say. |

I don't know about you guys over in the UK, but here in Australia, Skylines are as common as.. I don't know... it's the new car that everyone wants to get when they get their license. And a lot of them don't know much about cars... and the Nissan AFMs are notorious to dying........... ![]() The K&N is still the best value for money filter around I'd say. ![]() |
