Different bushes have different shore hardnesses so depends on what application they're going to be used. I would of thought for road use, unless your bushes are dead and need replaced, I wouldn't bother. I had them in the 185 and vibrations do increase! but I could live with it as the car was my toy.

Just an opinion (stand by for flaming) :D

NVH is an issue with uprated engine mounts

Unless you enjoy having to drag the Mrs out of the car there's very very little benefit to be gained in an everyday car unless you've upped engine power to a point where it flaps about when you put your foot down

In a highly developed race application where you're steering the car on the throttle there is benefit to be had

A friend of mine has just had his switched back to standard as the vibration was so annoying - I would avoid unless its a track machine

i have 80 shore engine mounts in my 165. all 4 mounts are done. the buzzing noise is very odd and as treacle says, doing this will ruin your car unless its 100% track/fun toy with no concessions to creature comfort :)

I experimented with this on my car with the front and rear mounts poly filled. It was a disaster I lasted about a week before I swapped them back.

I was thinking of going for one poly engine mount after reading someone had an inch of movement on a launch with standard bushes, running about 350bhp I believe. One poly bush seemed to solve his problem, not sure if it would be an acceptable compromise for my daily lol, it's pretty uncomfortable as is anyway lol.

I generally find that launching the car is the cause of many problems and best avoided. I'm hopefully going to be running about 370hp and will be trying to source some TRD rubber mounts for my car. If I can't get them then I'll be using new OEM ones.
