3 short runs in the 4. All on a motorway on ramp uphill - start by coming around a tight corner in 2nd gear before opening up the throttle. Back off to sensible (read that as legal) speed by the time I 'hit' the motorway.

Makes such a difference being able to rev the car much higher than standard. Balanced bottom end and gas flowed head with cams really is the way to go. Should be able to go even higher when next round of mods is completed.

I thought that 7200rpm was the hard rev limit on the ST205 anyways though? :? At least when I've bounced off the limiter thats what its been reading anyways

Somewhere theres a vid clip of mine on the dyno at PE where the guy keeps hitting my rev limiter as the little bugger is still making power even up there 8) Gotta love wilder cams

Cheers,
Mark

......and you don't even have a gas-flowed head do you Mark? IIRC Adrian is building a 9,000rpm screamer for this season

Er...guilty as charged m'lud  Graham did do a wee smidge of porting & polishing on my head while the engine was in bits yes. But even so, I can remember easily hitting 7200rpms just when I got it de-catted and running slightly higher boost - opening up the breathing was all mine ever needed to happily fly round to the redline at every gear change without running out of puff , which is more than can be said for me LOL! 8)

Cheers,
Mark

Rev limit has currently been set at 7600rpm as peak power is being made at 7200. With a few more planned mods, fully expect peak power to be even higher with the limit being increased to 8k. Mook is currently making a new set of dials for me with the appropriate rev counter :D

hehe, nice!

i've been without my car for a week now - but the revs seem to build really low in the vid. What gear were you in? (although the speedo seems to build well  )
