Having had a good search on the site regarding header tank designs I have decided to fit one to the system. The question I have is what header to use, what tank was bought when fitting one. There are several designs on ebay but Im unsure which size to buy. Anyone know what space is available below the power steering header tank on a non abs st205 as Ive not got access to the car at the moment. Also I have seen different reports of capacity required, everywhere between 1l and 2l.

cheers guys

Hi,

here i have some pictures of my system

http://gt4dc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php? ... c&start=45

on the new engine i will not direct the hose down to the stainless pipe i made again, then i will use the connector for the throttle body header in the oem stainless pipe
i found ~4 cm of air (from top down) in the header after a 1/2 year of driving, looks like it is big enough

I'm not sure if you found this thread in your search for header tanks. It has all the info you require:

http://gt4dc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php? ... eader+tank

There is a calculation for the volume required for a header tank.

Space at the elevation required in the ST205 engine bay is difficult to find. I have a spare Fensport header tank which mounts in the offside front wing above the engine mount on a non-ABS ST205. You need to relocate the power steering reservoir to the space on the firewall adjacent to the brake servo.
