I decided to but another GT4 and fancied a 185 in white.

At the moment it is just transport until one of our other 205s are back on the road.

Pretty much standard with good service history and one owner for most of it's life, but high mileage (170k)

Under side is not as good as it seemed, but a bit of TLC needed here and there.

That was obvious when this fell off after driving it to work :)

Managed to get a couple of shots of the car after a bit of a clean.

The paintwork has some strange blisters an quite a few panels, but not really noticeable from a distance.

First thing is to sort the blowing exhaust manifold gasket

Thanks for the advice on the other thread :)

It's the right body colour but the black wheels look a bit odd on a white car IMO.

I have so many debates about this (Wheel colours) , but a bit like Marmite I guess?

I put these on as the 19" wheels the car came with were not balanced, so the ride was not good.

I/we, Dan and I, have a few sets of track, winter and auto test tyre sets to choose from depending on the day :D

I also managed to pick up a set of almost new looking Original three spoke wheels for not a lot of money with
Ice Guard winter tyres.

Happy days, whatever the weather

Sounds more reliable than mine!

If I had a white one, the castrol stripes would already be on order. :)

If you plan to do autotests / autosolos I would suggest FMIC with fan (or ducting to radiator orrifice so the rad fan generates airflow). I would also add an external oil cooler as 185's are known for cooking oil, not helped by the location of the filter.

Temperature sensor was playing up, flickering up and down.

TCB with a 2nd user part that looked almost new.

Her is a pic of the one that fell apart as I was removing it:-

Not surprised it was playing up.

Yesterday when I filled the car up, I thought Yuck.

So with a bit of "Muck Off" bike cleaner and a few wiggles with paint brush, and a quick spray with water, and this:-

Little things and all that :D
