Coming together nicely New hose from hell fitted New timing belt kit ready to be fitted Good example of the attention to detail I give my engine builds, daz`s engine had the wrong oil pump pulley fitted which will make a difference, the smaller pulley is st205, the larger one is st185 Martin |

Interesting collection of parts on this engine Martin. I spy an ST205WRC exhaust manifold, UK water elbow, JDM cylinder head. Possibly more? I presume the wastegate take-off is via an adaptor between the OEM exhaust manifold and the turbine flange? Seems to be a common solution in the MR2 Turbo. |

Hiya don There is an adaptor flange between the turbo and manifold for the external wastegate on this set up Its turned out really well has this build its hitting 1.3bar at 3300rpm so daz is loving it Martin |

Interesting, I wasn't aware there was different size oil pump pulleys? presumeably the st185 pulley was used for the previous build as it was thought to give higher capacity? |

The previous engine was a standard original build so work that one out |

martinking6 wrote: The previous engine was a standard original build so work that one out As per my earlier observation the mixture of parts would indicate that whoever did the previous build on this engine used a parts sourced from more than one engine so the use of a 185 pulley may be random rather than by design?

Yip I reckon so don, the original build engine internals look genuine with the genuine toyota silicone also but it had deffo had a head gasket previously done and obviously had some other work done as per wrong parts per generation of engine fitted Martin |
