Having this anti roll bar in the garage for a while, i finally got around to fitting and after driving it for half an hour or so around the country lanes my conclusion is that its.......BRILLIANT!!!! It has genuinely made as much of a difference to handling as my coilovers did, turn in is excellent and the whole back end of the car seems more solid and planted. By far and away the best value modification I have done to the GT4 to date!!! GO BUY ONE Cheers guys |

I knew it would make a difference but was surprised at how much Having fitted aftermarket bars to hondas in the past, it turns out that the st205 is incredibly receptive to a few chassis tweaks!!  Next up poly bush I think |

If you "slammed" it on coilovers then the rollbar has probably corrected some of the chassis imbalance that caused making the effect a double bubble one

I've lowered the car approximately 40mm front and rear. I certainly wouldn't say I had lowered the car to the point that handling is compromised. How would lowering the car a similar amount both front and rear cause an imbalance in the chassis that wasn't already there? Cheers |

it will raise the rollcentre of the car This is somewhat offset by the stiffer springs being more roll resistant but in actuality you'll have altered the roll balance of the car significantly and to some extent lowered the effectivness of the rollbars By fitting an uprated bar you've restored some roll control to the actual rollbars and returned it more to the original state of more roll resistance in the rear which in turn improves turn in and corner grip |

well if thats the case then I'm certainly pleased by the result. Only concern is that the car will become more tail happy on the limit. Mike and I were talking about the differences when moving the drop link attachment location, can that small difference in what looks like leverage make a large difference?? |

BC Racing Coilovers are fitted,these are again, something that I would very much recommend! Quality is just as high as teins or trd and price is brilliant. Only problem is they are not direct bolt on items and do require some fabrication/access to a welder and mucho bravery

If you are referring to the adjustment holes at then end of the ARB arms this is really more for making small changes. As Steve has described above, dropping the car 40mm will likely have a much more significant effect. Did check/modify the suspension alignment after you fitted the BC kit?

yea, im referring to the adjustment holes on the ARB. The alignment was checked once coilovers were fitted but havent looked it since fitting spacers and ARB. Also I think that front fig 8s are going to need changed sooner rather than later so I'll wait until then to check again. You cant comprise with a full on track car and I drive 300 miles a week in mine so its never going to handle particularly well against a circuit weapon!!! If dropping it 40mm is a compromise then I'm happy with that! cheers |

Agreed the uprated ARB is probably the best value for money mod you can do on your car One of the main issues with lowering the car is that it will give you excessive camber on the rear wheels as you have no camber adjustment - the lower you go the more camber you will have. Too much camber on the rear will contribute to understeer. Mine was suffering with this on BC's so now one of the mounting holes in the clamp that fixes to the hub has been elongated to allow a level of camber adjustment on the rear. Simple and effective and the handling is vastly improved by taking some of te camber off. |

Excessive negative camber will also wear out the inside shoulder of the tyre very quickly meaning you have to replace them prematurely. An expensive outcome! |
