Have been looking for months and posted up on all the relevant forums, not had any luck at all :(

Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find one? I will happily pay the going rate but I'm not willing to pay crazy money to get a new one imported.

Somebody help me or sell me the one you've for kicking around in your shed that you'll probably never fit!

Now back home and mapped to 531bhp & 411lb/ft - that's enough power for now! :D

Have you tried the usual breaker suspects? I got a new Caldina side feed from Mr. T for £350 which I didn't think was too bad. Try fabricating one for that money and it wont be as robust as a cast OEM item. I do have a spare one including a TB which I picked up from Tim at TB Developments or Mark Mills a while ago so they do turn up from time to time.

Really, is that all they cost from Toyota? I thought they'd be a hell of alot more than that seeing as they often sell for £300 second hand? Will try giving my local dealership a call.

Yeah have tried messaging various breakers who have Caldina parts for sale, but none of them want to sell a manifold without an engine :(

Does the ST205 throttle body fit straight onto the Caldina manifold?

Think I might have finally located one with a breaker - should I get the throttle body as well or do you adapt the st205 one or something completely different? St205 one would have the cable pull from the wrong direction wouldn't it?

In the absence of knowing - I would get the throttlebody if I were you. You can't go wrong then.

Hi,

you should use the ST215 TB, the ISCV part is slightly different so you get no seal between manifold and TB, if you arent able to get a TB
i can offert you a ST246 one which fit the flange but has no ISCV (is directly fitted to the manifold on the ST246)

That's great, cheers Greetz :)

Has anyone ever done a decent write up on installing the Caldina manifold? Don't think I've ever seen anything.

Dave P has some info in his thread over on the OC.

It more of his impressions though rather than a 'how-to'.

Great cheers for the help guys, I have hopefully finally managed to locate one for £250 + post including the throttle body, sounds reasonable enough.

I would snap that up, especially given how long you have been searching for it!

The ST205 TB has a central IACV compared to the offset one on the Caldina TB. For a road car you really want the IACV for fine throttle control at small throttle openings. If you don't have this its likely the engine will 'hunt' at low rpm. This makes the car a real pain to drive in traffic. BUY IT NOW!

re: fitting st215 manifold - depends on how long you can wait. I am going to be finishing up the engine ready to install soon with the st215 manifold.
- Can't use st205 TB, need st215 TB
- st215 manifold has less vacuum ports on it than the st205 manifold (i'm drilling/tapping two more in)
- can't easily link PS idle up valve to manifold. Hardlines are different. Need to customise something
- st205 IACV hard lines do not allow easy alignment to st215 tb, so need to find a solution

those are the areas off the top of my head. Can provide more info when I'm looking engine again, but not for, maybe, a month..

Anyone still looking for a Caldina manifold + TB? $300NZ ex freight (which I would imagine would be a decent price from NZ to UK).

Let me know over next couple of days
