The crank timing pulley was seized on the crank and wouldnt come off so had to delicately slice the pully and then split it to get it off

did the car come in because of engine failure or an upgrade?

looks like a much needed engine build

Looks like another ST205 which has been run on the smell of an oily rag :( I guess a replacement block is required? Hopefully crank can be saved. If not give me a shout as I have loads of parts.

was there much oil in the sump when you drained it martin? Im gutted for the guy, hope he got it cheap knowing it was going to need work. Id def be contacting the seller just to vent my frustration at a poorly maintained motor

gutted for the person, shocking and to be honest, it appears like Don says that its yet another person buying a st205 because they are cheap, then realising at the first service bill they cant afford to fix it so do it on the cheap or even better.... just dont at all.

Matts cool he is under no illusions and has cut no corners, he has fully listened to my advise and gone with suggestions made.

The engines actually rebuilt and back in the car, if I get other work done in time it should be another 4 saved on tuesday when I turn the key plenty more pics to come as well as more builds to show, got another 4 builds after this one including another stroker with offset ground crank and a linered build which will be interesting to share
