4th pic. Centre console/fuse board.

5th pic. Blitz/kkk turbo overhauled (made 295ftlbs/316bhp)@1.6 bar

6th pic. Blacktop 45mm itbs with a custom adapter designed by Dan off here. The trumpets are too big to fit inside a pulsar plenum so will have some shorter ones made. Phenolc gasket. Bosch idle control valve underneath with a vac canister for fuel pressure, boost and map takeoffs. The head is ported and polished and port matched with overhauled with standard valves, new oem springs and seals. Ge na cams on the inlet and exhaust (252degree/9.8mm lift). Cam cover is off a rev 3 3sge modified to suit zzfe cop, baffles removed and bunged breathers (more on that when I show u the block). Custom dual feed fuel rail with 600cc ev14 top feed injectors.

5S block polished and deburred. Crank Caps have also had the same treatment as they are known to crack. Polished and balanced and mildly knife edged 3S 86mm crankshaft.

Amazing attention to detail compared to my build so I hate to think of what the time/effort/cost must be. What's the current status of the project?

Thank you but But i cant dismiss that your project has been an eye opener as to what can be done and done well. Also a massive influence on me to keep my car. Spent just under 10k on this car including buying the car (1k) and got about 4-5k to go.
At the minute the pistons are on order. Should receive them in 3 weeks. The engine should be done in 2 months as I'm still yet to order custom rods, make plenum backplate and trumpets etc.
The body needs harness bolts welding in and seat rails. Then it's ready to be prepped for paint. Should be painted by Xmas depending on how quickly I can save. Goin holiday this year so gotta save for that lol

great built, but does i advise to place a fire extinguishers in your near :lol:

looks like you modified the oil pump a little, just a tip if you are able to get a cheap gen.4 oil pan nr.1 you can
use a 3S-GE oil pump which has the highest flow, the crank sensor on these engines is the issue why it ain't fit the
gen3 sump

a water pump upgrade is possible too if interested

love the ITBs, should i built a engine anytime again i go that way too :)

Thanks for the comments.

Sunny I was goin to use a trigger wheel bolted to the inner part of the crank damper. Would like to run the trigger wheel and cover from later rev 4 but they are rare as hens teeth and therefore expensive. What makes you say 3sge has best flow? Does it have thicker rotor/annulus? Was goin to modify the cover to fit 5s rotor/annulus as its about 10% thicker giving more pressure.

Still wondering whether to do this. As for flow ported the pump, cover and sump as the oil holes vary and taper (10.5mm to 12.5mm) to and from the filter. Left the block main oil gallery as it is (11mm).

Hi,

here some infos about the oil pumps (and water)

the 3S-GE Blacktop with dual VVTI has the most flow of all 3S oil pumps, he also used the smaller pulley, thats the setup i built to my engine too

i would not modify that much on that part of the engine, it just means death if you had a damage on that pump :lol:

looks like you need to much gen.4 parts in front of the price, the gen.4 has all the points you list, cranks sensor and trigger and the correct oil pan for the pump

i found a EWP just cause a more complex setup, i found no reason to use one so i built a uprated oem one , got that trick TTE 8)

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't be surprised if the beams setup taper and restrict as much as the standard 205 pump. There would be no reason why i would hurt the oem pump by porting the cover and sump, if anything it would give it an easier life. Did some googling myself. Standard pump will provide enough pressure. If one comes up at the right price I will upgrade and mire than likely still modify to remove restrictions. For the time being I will stick to the stock pump as I'm only revving to 7500rpm maximum. Depends where the power rolls over. Main reason I am using an electric water pump is that it will run after the engine is switched off and to feed coolant from the four core plugs at the front (exhaust side) of the engine. Using a 5s block as overall its a stronger block but every little helps to keep from shocking the engine to cold-er water bursts to one side of the engine when the thermostat opens. Just trying something different. If it works all the better. If not back to what does work ;)

Ordering rods tommorrow. Ordered flywheel today from TTV. Should be lighter than 4kg but will see.
Oh and thinking of selling the Blitz K3T turbo and Audi S2 wastegate (both refurbed and good to go, needs custom manifold) PM if interested. I'm after something smaller.
