Had a good chat with ali86 and look around this car yesterday, very impressed, can't wait to see it finished!

Dash and interior wiring coming along slowly. Bought alex237s turbo and manifold etc as a steal but sold the gt3582 turbo as it's too large for my power levels :( would be awesome tho.

Image is from a previous pic of Alex's car

Dummy caliper bracket to see if it sits in the right place

Looking good! What are you planning on doing with the car when it's done? Also won't that turbo position clash with the alternator location you've currently got? Might be worth fitting the alternator in the mr2 position

Now back home and mapped to 531bhp & 411lb/ft - that's enough power for now! :D

Cheers fella :) that I'm unsure if at the mo. Trackday weekend toy I guess. I'm going to have a mock up of the turbo and manifold tonight to check for that clearnce... Manifold under closer inspection has got some hairline cracks which need attention too :(

On top of that my bros vw cambelt has snapped so I need the head off that. As well as my runaround and the missus car needs servicing too:/ so on that note...ahhh still have to move forward with this lol

Ahh you're right treacle. Turbo fouls on the alternator. Should stop impulse buying :( now have manifold his manifold and 2 v band 0.63 and 0.82 gt35 housing up for sale n try to recuperate the cost

Why not just move the alternator?

I don't want to use the original cast bracket. Could make a new bracket lighter bracket but in short I like the alternator mounted low. Looks neat lol

ImageImageImagecould mount it like the last pic but exhausts would come at funny angle and oil will not drain well. Could mount it with the induction facing the passenger side but want it facing the drivers side to shorten intercooler pipe length
