Why is it better to clock my turbo ?

We took the motor out of the Car yesterday because of vacum leak with the intake manifold and oil leak somewhere arond the manifold.
And because the car is smoking like hell when he is running 1000 rpm, does some one here know why it can be ??
We maybe think that the turbo is damaged, but this is a new turbo, I have only drivin it about 300 km when i was pre running the car.. ?

It is posible that you have seen this car in some swiss side from the previus owner, and he bought the oilpan

I haven´t been doing anything in my car for last 2 months before yesterday and he have been in standind inside the toyota dealership here in my town

And I got my sel some reading for the winter :)

Nice work!

I believe the sensor you are referring to is the knock sensor, but hopefully someone with better knowledge will confirm it.

It's the knock sensor :(

You couldn't have picked a more expensive one to break if you tried......

Should be a ready supply of secondhand knock sensors with the number of 185's being broken.

(185 knock sensors have a different plug fitting. Appear to be electrically the same but not confirmed in the light of recent ECU knock sensing investigations.)

Looks a stunning car. I can see why it has pride of place in the dealership :)

And Diceman you where talking about to clock the turbo how should I do that ? any pictures ?

I´ll bring some pictures in next days
