According to the Defi-Shop the Defi Link Display is no longer made . Anyway it doesn't do boost so doesn't tick all your boxes although I suppose you could always buy secondhand off fleabay if you wanted one. If I were you I'd work out how you want the dash etc. to look then go through what's available. It's very easy to end up with a messy looking interior so time spent planning is well worthwhile.

I looked at that 'zig-zag' triple gauge panel when I was evaluating options a while ago but wasn't convinced of the aesthetics. 52mm dials are a really tight fit in a DIN panel particularly if you take the outer bezel/trim into account. It might work, if you have excellent Blue Peter skill sets You can get gauges smaller than 52mm diameter but the range is quite limited so I decided not to go down that route. Have you decided on analogue or digital yet?

The 'zig-zag' triple gauge panel does not fit properly in the dash (at least not nicely as it relies on "clipping" in).
Also the gauges are a tight fit.

The blank panel is a reasonable fit but as previous the gauges are a tight fit.
You also need, as Don mentions, good Blue Peter skills.

Tried both options and wasn't convinced/happy with the final outcome of either.

The best "OEM" type option, albeit expensive, is the 3-Din Defi unit.

Muddy, agree the 3-Din Defi unit is the best solution but it doesn't support the gauges I need
I am going to keep looking the solution must be out there!

OK so I have found a possible solution (I’m currently getting Mr Grumpy to look into feasibility because I really don’t understand most of this!!! LOL)

From the blurb it sounds like they can be setup for almost any type of monitoring and can use almost any sensor (theirs or A.N.Other)

They appear to have an alarm function and also the ability to ‘shut off’ or ‘trigger’ other things when set limits are reached/exceeded.

Whilst it isn’t expandable like the Defi, I am still not convinced that I need any more than Oil temp / pressure and one other (probably water temps) but due to their size, I can easily fit 3 in a single DIN blanking plate, possibly more if I so desired.

Anyway, as always thoughts on a post card . . . . !!

Mine, in typical me style, are fitted to a drawer somewhere. Probably never to be found again

I did fire it up and looks wise it was ok

From memory 4 would fit in a single din as two stacks of two

JP and I both jumped on one as the cheapest way of measuring EGT

I think I had figured out that you could fit a pair of these flanked by spa twin needle gauges to give 6 displays in a single din unit

My problem with such a setup is information overload and poor positioning so for me the Defi Display in line of sight is a better proposition
When Chris pulls off the central logger with small remote display that would be my choice

Or, if you want to be real radical replace the double din with a 7" tablet and run torque for gauges and another app for media using the headphone output to drive external amps
This was my plan for the Beemer but I can't find a decent way to control the tablet as it's too far away for comfortable use in an idrive dash

I really like those gauges and looked into them a lot before making my final decision.

I decided against them for two reasons (neither of which are probably relevant to you) the first was that with measuring 7-8 parameters I thought the dash would look very busy and possibly a bit 'Back to the Future'!

Secondly the gauges don't have a label on to say what they are which would mean stiky labels, fine if you only have 3 or so probably a pain if you had 8. If I was only using 3 I think I would hide them away in a DIN sized pocket with a door on - that way you can have the door open when interested and hide them away when not.

Not until Chris is finished with his box Mike. It uses OBDII, primarily over Bluetooth using an ELM327 plugin adapter
