I've always thought of the universals being a bit of an overkill. Then I came across this: http://oilcatchtank.com/ What do you think? Can this work? Also what size should I get for our 3SGTE? |

Tru. But how does air filters operate differntly from catch cans? Air filters have an element filteration inside. Think I can simply remove it and use it as a catch can? Also many universal cans only have fittings of 10mm/15mm/19mm but our on the 2SGTE is 22mm for the ID of the hose. How have people gotten round this? Extreme reducers? |

The standard catch tank works fine IMO. |

not doubting that the stock one is fine but today I discovered that my can had cracked and the L hose had split which was the cause of my oil leak so looking to buy a replacement. Also the mini breather I have on the end which usually feeds back to the intake was soaked I oil. |

Sounds like your engine is exhibiting symptoms of excessive crankcase pressurisation if the filter is soaked in oil. Tired, high mileage engine? |
