Another one to share with people again as usual pictures will do the talking but starting while partially stripped as was just cracking on so forgot pics

That poor engine looks like it has been really neglected and abused :cry: I hope you can administer some TLC Martin and it goes to a good home where it gets looked after properly?

Yip its all done and gone all better, it was one of the supposed ebay bargains till I had a look over it :lol: but like the new owner says at least shes all good now, hes had it back a month or so and clutch has started slipping so its returning again once ive finished his 2nd ST205

When valve train goes that golden brown colour is that an indication of engine overheating? Coolant system would also suggest that

Its not surprising really oil was like treacle and there was 3 pages of genuine issues with the car from the inspection but after the first wave of work its a completely different car and running like a dream in the words of the owner, apart from the old clutch is giving up now which is hellish ironic tut tut :lol:

Compression readings were good all around 160 psi and hydrocarbon tests negative I always make sure the engine is in a healthy state before spending customers money on them, not very fair to do a load of work to find out later that the engine is in poor condition I definitely don`t ever want to have to talk my way out of that one :lol:
