165 clocking Great every version of four is different,.... ![]() To make matters worst, the choice of turbo, adds further variance... ![]() Custom actuator brackets all the way, no universal type... ![]() The addition of a kenlow to the parts list..is a must. ![]() However ....on the good side ![]() The reduction of 360 degrees of bends, is an advantage. ![]() night ![]() |

Andy, yes, similar to Spal. I found through my limited searching that the Kenlow was more expensive that a Spal. Alan from www.feredaycars.co.uk has said that he would do us a decent price if you drop him a line and mention the DC. |

cool stuff kris, thanks ![]() now ive flogged the TD06, i think my likely turbo route is a CT26 from a '90 supra, clocked with a moved actuator bracket not a bad turbo for £150 off supraman ![]() |

See that your compressor housing has an extra mounting lug...this is very handy when clocking the turbo. Looks like the 165 amd 185 turbos have this, but the CT20 does not have this extra mounting lug and thus the mounting for the actuator is a bit more traumatic ![]() |

Gary my son, boy do I have a new clocked turbo install. It’s my best yet... I am not talking of a compressor housing rotation, but a complete turn around, it could not make the job in hand any easier.. Even better its Now on paper, which means its on course for construction. As for straight air intake, it’s the best route yet, one draw back, its only works on 205 ecu and above. I need to check it out, for being the first of its kind.., its makes complete sense, I stumbled on it, trying to work out how to install two turbo’s and omfg its great, I really thinks it’s a winner.. Look < hint |

Maybe this has the CT26 compressor housing...seems quite a popular route for the turbo rebuilders? |

Owens built the Stage 2 Hybrid for my UK ST205WRC with the turbine from my old CT20b and a compressor housing from a CT26. My JDM ST205WRC has an MD228 which was on the car when I got it so can't really vouch for its origins. Can take some pics if you're interested. |

Think you are correct Gary, but maybe later or aftermarket compressor housings seem not to bear this mark sometimes? |

All Ct26's have CT26 writrten on the compressor housing. All Ct20b just have "Toyota" written on the compressor housing. Turbo builders prefer t start with a Ct26 as teh CHRA has a larger shaft hole and hence it saves machining out the CHRA. CT20b's also have nasty ceramic parts on teh turbine wheel and hence thw whole wheel & shaft need to be replaced. All possible but it is cheaper to give them a Ct26 to start with! |
