Hi guys I have recently fitted and setup my boost controller. While setting it up I over boosted a couple times hitting nearly 1.4 bar but never hit fuel cut. Any ideas why this is? Could my blitz dsbc be reading wrong?
Also just a daft question but when I was setting my base timing I can't seem to be sure if I have set it right because if I moved my head slightly left or right it was at a different point. Anyone know where my head should be when I'm doing this? Lol. Thanks

Visualise an imaginary line from the centre bolt of crank pulley through to the timing mark on the timing cover you want to set, that imaginary line is the angle at which you should be looking at the crank pulley for the timing mark.

Cheers mate I have probably retarded it a little as I was directly above it. Thanks. Any ideas on the boost cut issue?

Boost cut isn't fixed in stone but above 1.2 bar chances are you will hit it
Brief spikes or even slightly longer probably won't trigger it. Was the EBC reading just a peak number or did you see boost continually at 1.4?

Of course it's always possible there is a fcd fitted from previous tinkering

peak hold indicated it but I did see it hold there for a couple seconds but I lifted off fast when I noticed. Strange thing is it was the first full throttle pull I made when I started it then it never happened again. I suppose I should check for a fuel cut defender. What should I be looking for? Like where is it and what will it look like?
Thanks
