I'm replacing the Clutchmaster FX400 6PUK clutch in my 205 and was wondering if it is worth the extra £60 for a lightened flywheel over a standard one? One of the things I like with the FX400 is the ability to just slowly lift the pedal and the car to pull away on tickover. I guess I'll lose this with a lightened flywheel? Thank you |

Unless your flywheel is knacked from previous clutch id leave it. If your wanting high hp figures and are at the limit of tuning looking for various options to get that little bit extra then go for it but the standard one will provide the intertia for tourqe and thats what counts to what you feel shoving you along the road. |

Thanks. It's running about 360bhp and I'm not looking to get any more out of it. What symptoms would a knackered flywheel give? I don't think there are any issues with it (or there weren't when I last drove it 2 1/2 years ago :0( ) |

I really like my fidanza flywheel. It makes the engine rev more freely. I always felt the engine reved quite lazily before. |

I think you need to make the decision about the flywheel once you have the clutch off,so you can see the condition of the surface. Mine looked good after nearly 20 years and 106000 miles! |
