fits all the 165-185 and 205 all use the same diff mount and diff subframe bushes

I asked Martin Kingston on Friday about this when he was down to pick up the trailer and he has confirmed the 185 and 205 diff mounts are different internal diameter. He is going to send me the measurements. I'll post them up on the forum when I get them. He says there are other differences in the diff mounts too.

i have a 185 diff subframe and 205 diff subframe and both measure the same size? all so iv had diff mount form 165-185 and 205 and all are the same even Toyota list them as the same

For everyone's information Lou and I are still working to confirm the dimensions of the 185 and 205 diff carrier bushes as we have conflicting dimensions. More info to follow :)

Aaahh balls sorry forgot to measure I will do it tomoz

The 185 and 205 diff carriers are interchangeable but different the diff carrier bushes leave a gap on the 185 underneath, the 205 sits flush, I will try dig pics up to show ya what I mean so unless toyota have superseded the old part numbers to the rev 3 then the should be different, this is exactly why I fitted the 205 variation to my cs, I will measure for you tomorrow to confirm one way or another make sure am not imagining with the diameter of the bush :-)

To illustrate the difference between the ST205 and ST185 differential carriers (N.B. NOT the rear subframe!) I've posted my pics below:

ST205 on the left and ST185 on the right. you can see the rusty surface where we removed the old bush metal jacket after the diff carrier had been powder-coated. I originally thought the metal jacket was part of the diff carrier :oops:

thanks for the photos will help. getting kits for both sorted .interesting to see that there seems to be a few mm difference on the 205 frame to the 185. but then the 205 frame i have seems to be same size bush as in the 185. ill pop photos up of what have when home tomorrow

cheers bud. the last 205 set neededa tap in with a hammer so were a bit tighter. but ill be turning 1 at 50-51mm and see what its like to fit
