Big thanks to our Mook for this one. After a trip to the UK to meet the man in person and hand over some folding stuff, the custom dials arrived this morning. And after a little coaching on how to fit them from the man himself, here's the result... Top quality as people have come to expect from Skewer.co.uk. Cheers Mook ![]() Gary |

Nice one Gary, as i said on Ozcelica, Anychance we can get some night time shots? Also is Mook on this forum? Cause i would love to get a set of those, exact same colours, but remove the TRD and replace it with the "Group A Rallye" logo we got here in oz ![]() |

Looking good mate. Did you have to remove the needles or did they fit over? Cheers Steve |

Needles need to be removed. Will be repeating the process over teh weekend to replace the bulbs with different ones to remove the green glow around the needles. May opt for blue. |

I hate removing needles. I'll pass on them for sure then. Havig said that, Lockwood do some dial kits that fit over the needles......I wonder if they do some for the st185.......? |

Just answered my own Q. http://www.superdials.com/ccp51/cgi-bin ... &ref=DIALS The dials are easy fit (No needles to remove) and are in white or silver. Sweet. ![]() |

I’ve had a few White Lockwood kits & seen loads that all have the same problem, 3 years or so down the line the white turns yellow, like the ceiling of a 40 a day smokers house. I wonder if Mook’s will do the same?? For this reason that’s why white dials are not on my list of mods. |

They do silver dials. I'm not too keen on white dials so silver would be my only choice.... I doubt silver dials would react the same way as the white ones. |

IIRC it is the plastic that covers the dials that reacts with the UV light so I would of thought the silver ones would be the same, that’s why I am wondering if mooks will do the same as it looks like he doesn’t use this plastic cover that Lockwood do. The simplest option is to ask mook what grade plastic he does use & then find out if it will react with UV light. If not then ask mook to make you up a set which you don’t have to remove the needles to fit. |

mind you the lockwoods are half the price so you could buy another set in 3 years. so will mooks last 6 years would be my question though i have to say i wouldn't want lookwood spread across me dial when i could have TRD. |

I too wasn't entirely happy about the idea of removing the needles, but it was actually pretty easy to do. I did initially look at Lockwood but like Midnite, would much rather thave TRD than Lockwood on the dials. At least with Mooks you can have virtually anything you want on the dials or even the dial colour itself. Guess you could even have luminous pink it that 'floats your boat' ![]() Gary |

With the writing, how does it illuminate orange? Does the dash layer emit light from its own source? I'm quite interested in finding out... would like some dial faces to match my Defi gauge ![]() |
