Hi,

Since I went to FMIC, I blanked off the idle up valve pipe that went to the top mount intercooler and all was fine.

Well everything but the Air conditioning.

If the air con is on when I start the engine, the air con light is solid and works for about 8 seconds.

This is until the idle up kicks in and the revs go up.

At this point, then the Air con light starts flashing, and the pump clutch disengages.

If I turn on the Air con while the engine is running, the light comes on and the clutch engages for about 2 seconds, until the revs go up.

At this point, then the Air con light starts flashing, and the pump clutch disengages again.

The pump was removed from the engine, before removal. and the Air con pipes were untouched.

Both high and low side seems to have loads of pressure, so does not seem like a leak.

Tries venting the top mount to air, and get the same.

Should it be plumbed into the FMIC pipe going into the throttle body, of could it be something else?

Any ideas?

Cheers

Well, we found the problem, after fitting the loom back in, the white plug directly behind the glove box was not plugged in, easy fix but easily missed during a rebuild.

Thanks to the Internet for finding someone else who had the same problem and posted their solution.

Engine out, new clutch
New cam belt
Oil pump
Water pump
New hoses all round, blue for air, red for water
Never been bothered about the internals, because it goes PDQ, so I don't see any problems there.

Lots of other mods as well.
