Had a look at the brake lines on my st205 and they need replacing

Are there any uprated stainless braided lines available?

Or is it a matter of replacing with oem lines.

Anyone have any info?

Let me know.

Thanks

S..

The front lines are a complex multi-section affair and there have been bad reports of aftermarket braided lines not being particularly suitable. Best bet is probably oem - http://www.tcbparts.co.uk/ unless your local Toyota dealer can supply

My preference is oem regardless. From past experience of braided, the braiding hides the condition of the actual pressure hose underneath so when they go, there's no warning.

Specific to the 205 front - there have been many reports of aftermarket braided hoses failing due to the extreme twisting involved with the superstrut. If I was forced to go braided I would look at the Fensport ones as I know their original ones had failures and they issued a recall to exchange for a new design. This probably means they have researched and corrected the issues, especially knowing their good reputaion.

As above - just get OEM lines from TCB. Don't forget the little 'link' piece for either side of the fronts.

Thanks for the reply's chaps.

That's what I thought that oem would be best.

Will be spending more money with TCB soon.

It never ends...lol

Hi,

if it helps iam using jspeed lines, you can get them in japan
